Why April 2022 would be a good time to invest in FloodSax alternative sandbags

Although it’s officially spring, winter is still very much here with snow and rain this week and throughout April which could cause some flooding.

The warm spell in March was no more than a sucker punch as we are back with cold days and even colder nights with rain and snow.

The Met Office is forecasting rain and snow in Scotland and northern parts of the England this week so best be prepared.

This is their forecast for Wednesday to Friday this week: “Rain and snow across Scotland Wednesday moving south, showers with bright spells elsewhere. Cold on Thursday and Friday with snow showers in the north, perhaps some rain far south. Windy.”

Looking into the rest of April it’s a bit grim for the whole country.

The Met Office states: “Weather systems coming in from the southwest will bring more prolonged spells of rain and strong winds. There is a risk of snow at times on the northern edge of the bands of rain, this mainly across central areas.

“Widespread frosts are expected in the north with some icy patches likely. It will likely remain unsettled, but with the focus for the heaviest rain and strongest winds moving towards the north and west of the UK.”

And so it goes on but with some hope that the weather will turn more settled by May.

Don’t forget that local councils have no responsibility to provide sandbags so it’s worth taking a look at FloodSax (http://www.floodsax.co.uk/) alternative sandbags to protect your home or business.

They are incredibly space-saving to store and quick and easy to deploy.

In a wonderfully ironic twist just add water to them to turn them into sandbags to stop water.
